The Second Group excercise of the semester, the trip to bhuj helped us learn about new materials like clay and mud and make units and materials like CSEB bricks, Rammed earth walls, archs, domes and other elements

A two person excercise, these are the images before and after the testing of the Cantilever beam that we built using reed sticks, threads and pins

These are the images of the joints that we explored and the images of the structure after the weight testing. The test helped in figuring out where the structure failed and possible remedies to avoid a failure

A cubical structure was created using wood, metal pipe, iron rod and metal sheet while exploring different types of joineries consisting of wood to wood, metal to metal, and wood to metal joineries

An exploded view of the structure as well as a close up of the different joineries explored while making this structure has been displayed

Solving different problems like terrain, climatic effects, requirements of the client and more led me to create a workshop on the site of Jaiselmer. These are the final plan and the pictures of the model of the workshop that I designed

These are the sections of the workshop that was designed to tackle the problems
