Foundation Studio (II), within the CEPT Foundation Programme continues to build upon the skills acquired during the first semester, adding abilities to use digital media in representation; to make models; to understand the assembly of built form through its building elements, materials and structures; to be able to draft architectural and topographical drawings: and eventually leads to bringing the skills and abilities together to tackle a design problem.

A field studio where we learnt about different types of earth construction and materials in Bhuj.

An exercise where we designed a model made out of reed sticks and threads and tested it out using a bricks as a load. We learnt about different types of latching methods and joinery and mainly the stability of a structure.

We learnt about different types of joinery using metal and wood only. We came up with a complete assemblage model as a final product.

Jaisalmer was the site give to me. Collage of Jaisalmer, Site Analysis and Research about Gulf Architecture and Ventilation helped me in designing the building.
