Foundation Studio (II), within the CEPT Foundation Programme continues to build upon the skills acquired during the first semester, adding abilities to use digital media in representation; to make models; to understand the assembly of built form through its building elements, materials and structures; to be able to draft architectural and topographical drawings: and eventually leads to bringing the skills and abilities together to tackle a design problem.

Drawings of LD Institute of Indology drawn on a scale of 1: 50

1:100 Model of LD Institute of Indology. Made out of grey board.

Study of types of forces acting on an object that need to be considered before designing.

Making a tower model from reed sticks and thread. Then testing its load bearing capacity. The target was for it to be able to carry 25 to 30 kgs weight. The structure was able to carry 24 kgs and tumbled at the 9th brick.

Understanding joining of different elements and using different types of joineries.
