Foundation Studio (II), within the CEPT Foundation Programme continues to build upon the skills acquired during the first semester, adding abilities to use digital media in representation; to make models; to understand the assembly of built form through its building elements, materials and structures; to be able to draft architectural and topographical drawings: and eventually leads to bringing the skills and abilities together to tackle a design problem.

After documenting ATMA house, making dummy drawings to understand the dimensions and placement of elements, these were the final drafted drawings produced.

Exploration of different joinery possible with metal elements and wood. Group partner Kalyan Mudris - U21064

Different types of joinery in reed sticks was tried, and types of structures possible to make an inclined tower were thought about. Group partner Kalyan Mudris - U21064

The failing of the structure was documented. Sketches were made on how to improve and rectify the structures. Group partner Kalyan Mudris - U21064

The objective was to design a workspace for a leather craftsperson. The process for designing began with site analysis and charting adjacencies to help figure out the layout of the workspace.

Further sections were cut of the workspace. A wall section was drafted in isometric to help understand the construction process. Models of different scales were also made for further visual understanding.
