Foundation Studio (II), within the CEPT Foundation Programme continues to build upon the skills acquired during the first semester, adding abilities to use digital media in representation; to make models; to understand the assembly of built form through its building elements, materials and structures; to be able to draft architectural and topographical drawings: and eventually leads to bringing the skills and abilities together to tackle a design problem.

Representation Drawing, floor plan and model in two different scales (1:100 and 1:20) of GIDC Building is shown in the above image.

The plan view and sketch of a Triangular Cantilevered Plate along with the final model. The process module and lashing process is also given in the above image.

The load bearing capacity of the cantilevered structure has been tested and the reasons of its failure have been noted above.

Different methods of working with materials such as wood, metal sheets, pipes and rods were explored to create a 30X30X30 cm assemblage under a given criteria. The above is the final assemblage with the drafted design attempt.

Joineries of wood to wood, wood to metal, and metal to metal which have been used in the assemblage have been clearly given above.

The above is the attempt to design a workshop for a wooden toy maker. The floor plan along with few sections and process drawings are presented with different human activities.

In continuation of the workshop, the above are the site analysis and few site impressions along with case studies, site plan and a wall section which helped in the overall workshop design.

Initial sketches which helped crucially in visualising the space and thus the overall structure are given above.

The Maazi Installation which was designed by us and was about 8 feet tall. The above shows the process sketches along with other activities which made the design possible.

The above is the ArchiCad representation drawing of Tube House by Charles Correa. It consists of floor plan, and four sections.
