After focusing on developing drawing and representation skills in first semester, during the second semester, the CFP Studio component focuses on building analytical abilities with exercises like mapping and data representation, buidling elements and materials, making and testing structures, technical drawing II and tackling a design problem. These skills will be put to use during L2 studios, and will be discussed in their relevance to the professional practice that designers, architects and urban planners engage in.

Digital representation consisted of drafting the TRD II Drawings of Gandhi Ashram in AutoCAD and Making any object in Rhino 3D.

The rules of visual composition and organisation were explored in objects as well as architecture and surroundings.

The data of household objects sold in Bhadra Plaza, Old Ahmedabad was collected and represented on a scaled map.

A cantilever member was made using reed sticks and tied together with cotton thread. It was tested with bricks kept as weights to identify the points of failure. PFA The report of this exercise in additional work under "C3.3_MATS_Making a Frame Model".

A 300x300x300mm cube was created using the given materials. Joineries were explored and how materials can be put together. PFA The report and drawings of the whole process of joining elements in additional work under "C2_JE_Making an Assemblage".

A matrix and one exercise of the Allied Module classes is on the left side while the right is part of the Colour Composition exercise.

Another part of the Colour Composition exercise was designing a graphic representing the given artist's works (here, Gustav Klimt).

The estimated monthly cost of making crochet cardigans was calculated (with the monthly units produced taken as 20).
