After focusing on developing drawing and representation skills in first semester, during the second semester, the CFP Studio component focuses on building analytical abilities with exercises like mapping and data representation, buidling elements and materials, making and testing structures, technical drawing II and tackling a design problem. These skills will be put to use during L2 studios, and will be discussed in their relevance to the professional practice that designers, architects and urban planners engage in.

Deciphering Ordering Principles This exercise was about understanding the rules of composition and organization.

Mapping and Data Representation The learnings procured from this exercise were to research on and understand various features of an urban area and map them

Making and testing structures The study’s major goal was to learn about the load bearing capacity of various sorts of structures based on their significant form, technicality, and surface area. The sense of under design and over deign with its consequences was developed during the exercise.

Joining Elements The learnings procured from this exercise include understanding of different sorts of joineries, an understanding of hardware, material analysis, various machines used to cut, join, and carve different objects, etc.

Color and Composition The learning outcomes of this exercise included understanding the basics of color themes, color mixing and build a color palette for different moods, concepts, etc.

Imaginative drawing The learnings procured from this exercise was using language as a tool, learnt to envision, visualize and create a situation and articulated text and transfer it into a graphical form.
