After focusing on developing drawing and representation skills in first semester, during the second semester, the CFP Studio component focuses on building analytical abilities with exercises like mapping and data representation, buidling elements and materials, making and testing structures, technical drawing II and tackling a design problem. These skills will be put to use during L2 studios, and will be discussed in their relevance to the professional practice that designers, architects and urban planners engage in.

Creating abstract 2 Dimensional forms symbolising selective attributes which were then used as an inspiration in designing 3 Dimensional forms that influenced the design/overall form of the transformative space and elements placed in it. Images on the right include Site analysis, drafting layouts and concept implementation ( Done as a part of the Allied module for interior design)

From ideation through sketches to exploring different lashing techniques, drafting line drawings on autocad and then modelling on rhino (The Spanning member designed and constructed with UG Rakshitha as a part of the collaborative exercise- Testing structures)

Initial expansion on the attributes listed down from the imaginative story ( Sketched as a part of process sketches for the exercise Imaginative drawing)

The narrowing down of attributes into finalising the final composition, analysing what would be the best way to showcase the story, adding as many layers as possible without letting down depth. (Sketches made as a part of the exercise- Imaginative drawing)

Mapping the streetlights in Manek Chowk, one of the most iconic city squares while pointing out the grave depravity of safety during the nighttime in the surrounding area. ( Mapped as a part of Mapping and data representation )

Estimating cost of running a cow shelter, sheltering 60cows under Jeevdaya foundation in Ahmedabad. Creating a mindmap initially and then channelling the important information into the final sheet. ( Research and Design done as a part of the exercise Estimating costs)

From the ideation to creating an assemblage using meta, sheet, metal rod, metal pipe and wood. (Done as a part of the exercise joining elements in collaboration with Vikrant VV)

A booklet which documents the learning’s along the way during the field trip to Bhuj, focusing on the layout, representative diagrams and apt text. ( Done as a part of Building elements II in collaboration with Ananya S and Athulya RS)
