After focusing on developing drawing and representation skills in first semester, during the second semester, the CFP Studio component focuses on building analytical abilities with exercises like mapping and data representation, buidling elements and materials, making and testing structures, technical drawing II and tackling a design problem. These skills will be put to use during L2 studios, and will be discussed in their relevance to the professional practice that designers, architects and urban planners engage in.

T2 Digital Representation: Making a model of a pair of earrings in Rhino and the Plan of a building in Gandhi Ashram in Autocad

B1 & B2 Ordering Principles: Deciphering rules of organization and composition

B7 Mapping and Data Representation: Mapping Noise levels in the areas surrounding Shree Swaminarayan Temple, Kalupur at different times of the day

C3 Making and Testing Structures: From making the conceptual diagrams to building the model with reed sticks to then testing it and finally analyzing the points of failure.

C2 Joining Elements: From making the model in sketchup to making it in the workshop and finally creating a detailed estimate of the costs incurred

T3 Fab Lab: Making a laser cut cube and 3D printing a pen stand

C4 Field Workshop: Making a booklet of all the things learnt during the Bhuj field workshop. Each chapter is made into a coffee-stained leaflet, then tied up and put in an envelop made of Ajrakhpur block printed cloth that was bought from Bhuj

B3 Color and Composition: Pixelating an image, making a moodboard and then a composition representing Claude Monet's style of painting. Just like Monet painted his outdoor surroundings, the composition is an abstract version of a view from the north canteen at CEPT University

B9 Estimating Costs: Estimating the cost of running a Chole Kulcha stand per day, from going to the site and collecting data to calculating the overall cost per day and making the final infographic

A6 Imaginative Drawings: From highlighting keywords in the describing settings writeup from ROWC to making a storyboard showcasing the plot to making the final drawing
