After focusing on developing drawing and representation skills in first semester, during the second semester, the CFP Studio component focuses on building analytical abilities with exercises like mapping and data representation, buidling elements and materials, making and testing structures, technical drawing II and tackling a design problem. These skills will be put to use during L2 studios, and will be discussed in their relevance to the professional practice that designers, architects and urban planners engage in.

The exercise helped us get a basic idea of how the artist used to work and how they use the colour, medium and ideology behind their art pieces.

Estimating cost helped us understand the process of setting up a business.

Imaginative drawing was the exercise where the exploration of ideas, colour, and implementation of details takes place

The exercise helped us to build a colour palette for specific identities, moods, concepts, etc.

Moodboard helped us to understand how colours affect the mood and the surroundings

The site we got was Bhadra Plaza near Old City in Ahmedabad where after exploring the overall space we decided to document the occupancy the space usage by street cloth vendors

Joining elements helped us exploring various joineries and getting hands on different tools and machinery in the workshop

Making and testing of the structure helped us get the basic idea on understanding the state of stress, its behaviour and the reason of its failure
