The CEPT Foundation Programme studio is an introduction for students fresh out of school to the rigor and work habits required by an undergraduate degree at CEPT University. The studio is conceptualized as a series of sequentially planned exercises, through which students develop skills and abilities, which are then deployed to address increasingly complex problems falling in four broad categories: visualize and draw, make and learn, anayse and interpret and conceptualise and represent. The exercises are designed to provide foundational skills for students across disciplines at CEPT, between which they maintain a balance. They also reflect an understanding that at the foundation level, these skills overlap to a large extent, and a varied array is of benefit to all students. The studio is taught through intensive 1–2 week long modules, focusing on a particular skill or ability, and a process that emphasizes ongoing feedback in addition to expert faculty lectures.

An assemblage bounded in 30cm x 30 cm x 30 cm cubical shape is made using materials like wooden plank and metal rod and metal sheet. They are attached with various joineries like interlocking joineries, nut and bolt joinery etc.

A tower structure is taken as main project to understand the load transfer and forces applied on the vertical and horizontal members of a tower. A working model having the base 15cm x 15cm and height 75 cm is made using the ice cream sticks and tested with brick loading.

As famous for its fabled holy ghats, Varanasi offers some of the interesting cityscapes and views. Sections are made in 1:100 scale to capture these views and contours of Ganga Mahal ghat and Tulsi ghat .

Imagining house emerged inside a forest and if a human living would happen there, how would it look.

A board game designed on the theme of Varanasi city. Our game is called Banaras Ka Safar. The sheet features the rule book, narrative sketch and evolution of the board with different prototype version made prior to the final game.

Graphics of the board game. The theme was making a game involving river, built forms and keeping different levels for ghat and streets. Use of primary colors emphasis the cultural significance and interest of the game.
