The CEPT Foundation Programme studio is an introduction for students fresh out of school to the rigor and work habits required by an undergraduate degree at CEPT University. The studio is conceptualized as a series of sequentially planned exercises, through which students develop skills and abilities, which are then deployed to address increasingly complex problems falling in four broad categories: visualize and draw, make and learn, anayse and interpret and conceptualise and represent. The exercises are designed to provide foundational skills for students across disciplines at CEPT, between which they maintain a balance. They also reflect an understanding that at the foundation level, these skills overlap to a large extent, and a varied array is of benefit to all students. The studio is taught through intensive 1–2 week long modules, focusing on a particular skill or ability, and a process that emphasizes ongoing feedback in addition to expert faculty lectures.

Exploring the Myths of Varanasi: An interactive field studio project where we delved into the rich culture of myths and mythology of Banaras. Through interviews and immersive research, we brought these captivating stories to life in a graphic novel.

Exploring Connections: In the 'Joining Elements' module, we experimented with various joineries using wood, mild steel sheet, and mild steel rod. Our final piece, a 30cm by 30cm model, showcases innovative techniques for joining wood to wood, metal to wood, and wood to metal.

In this module, students chose between popsicle sticks and reed sticks to construct a model showcasing various lashing techniques for joineries with thread. The models were tested by progressively adding bricks as weights until they broke, allowing a detailed study of the breaking point and structural weaknesses.

Places of Worship: Our journey took us deep into the heart of the city, where we delved into the rich history and stories of its places of worship. Through interviews and detailed mapping at a 1:100 scale, we documented these revered shrines, capturing their essence and significance
