The CEPT Foundation Programme studio is an introduction for students fresh out of school to the rigor and work habits required by an undergraduate degree at CEPT University. The studio is conceptualized as a series of sequentially planned exercises, through which students develop skills and abilities, which are then deployed to address increasingly complex problems falling in four broad categories: visualize and draw, make and learn, anayse and interpret and conceptualise and represent. The exercises are designed to provide foundational skills for students across disciplines at CEPT, between which they maintain a balance. They also reflect an understanding that at the foundation level, these skills overlap to a large extent, and a varied array is of benefit to all students. The studio is taught through intensive 1–2 week long modules, focusing on a particular skill or ability, and a process that emphasizes ongoing feedback in addition to expert faculty lectures.

Exploring Joinery Techniques: This cube showcases a diverse range of wood-to-wood, metal-to-wood, and metal-to-metal joineries. Each vertex features unique joints, from tongue-and-groove lap joints to dowel and riveted connections, demonstrating the balance of materials and the stability achieved through iterative design and hands-on experimentation.

This miniature model replicates a bedside table from Karuna Guest House, crafted to scale using balsa wood. The model features a functional drawer, carefully constructed with accurate joinery details. Based on precise dimensions and a detailed scaled drawing, this miniature showcases the craftsmanship and joinery techniques of the original furniture.

This project maps the daily activities at Dashashwamedh Ghat in Varanasi, using color-coded maps and brochures to show how spaces are reused throughout the day. From morning rituals to the bustling daytime vendor activities and the evening Ganga Aarti, the study highlights the ghat’s adaptability. Plinths and walkways transform seamlessly, reflecting the ghat’s blend of spiritual and everyday life.

A tapered cantilevered beam model constructed using reed sticks and thread is a demonstration of structural engineering principles. This model features reed sticks carefully bound together with thread, forming a rigid, horizontal beam that extends outward from a fixed support. During load testing, the beam's ability to withstand forces is examined to test the failure points due to limitations in making or limitations of material, highlighting the strength and flexibility of the natural materials used. This practical experiment showcases the fundamental concepts of load distribution, tension, and compression in cantilever structures.

The Panchabhoota Board Game educates players about the cultural and spiritual significance of the Ganga Aarti, a Hindu ritual performed on the banks of the River Ganges. Through interactive gameplay with a board, element tiles, tokens, and a deck of cards, players learn about the five natural elements offered in the Aarti, fostering an appreciation for this ancient tradition and its connection to the goddess Ganga.

This project visualizes the intricate water facilities of Victoria Garden, illustrating the irrigation and drainage systems through detailed maps. The first map highlights the irrigation infrastructure, including borewells, control valves, sprinklers, and underground pipelines for vegetation maintenance. The second map depicts human usage areas, water bodies with fountains, drainage systems, and the septic tank connected to the Sabarmati River. This study combines static mapping and field data to present a comprehensive view of water management in the garden.

This infographic illustrates the flow of water within Victoria Garden, from the primary borewell source to various endpoints. It details the irrigation process, showcasing connections to control valves, sprinklers, and underground pipelines for plant maintenance. Additionally, it maps the water usage areas for human activities, decorative fountains, drainage systems, and the septic tank leading to the Sabarmati River. This visual representation provides a clear overview of the garden's water management system.

This artwork reimagines Karuna Guest House at Gandhi Ashram through the lens of "The Veldt." Using alcohol markers and color pencils, the drawing captures the guest house's charm before an accidental spill distorts reality. The tranquil setting morphs into a nightmarish landscape, blending fiction and real-world observation, as guests navigate the chaos between physical and virtual worlds.

Crafted in the style of Alexander Calder, this poster for a documentary screening embodies his dynamic design principles. Using primary colors and playful shapes, it captures Calder's iconic essence, with the look of shapes in motion representing the 'Life in Motion' theme of the documentary.

The sheet presents a detailed drafted exploded isometric view of a manual luggage weighing scale , highlighting its individual components and illustrating its working mechanism.
