The CEPT Foundation Programme studio is an introduction for students fresh out of school to the rigor and work habits required by an undergraduate degree at CEPT University. The studio is conceptualized as a series of sequentially planned exercises, through which students develop skills and abilities, which are then deployed to address increasingly complex problems falling in four broad categories: visualize and draw, make and learn, anayse and interpret and conceptualise and represent. The exercises are designed to provide foundational skills for students across disciplines at CEPT, between which they maintain a balance. They also reflect an understanding that at the foundation level, these skills overlap to a large extent, and a varied array is of benefit to all students. The studio is taught through intensive 1–2 week long modules, focusing on a particular skill or ability, and a process that emphasizes ongoing feedback in addition to expert faculty lectures.

B5 : field studio The second sem of CFP began with a week long field trip to varanasi . Student chose a desired topic and conducted studies throughout the week . Here the selected topic is Boat making and it is represented through the means of a board game.

C3: Joining Elements in this module a kit of rationed resource was given and the we were tasked to create a assemblage that explores joineries with the same as well as different materials

C4 : Understanding Structures In this module our group was assigned to build a tower using ice-cream sticks. Keep in the simple form , we decided to try a unique approach , hence the diagrid

The final structure had no columns , and was no lashed , yet it sustained a load of 32 kgs before failure due to human error.

B6: MADR The site for the module was the old city . after mapping out the given area , we chose a topic of liking for study , a shoppers guide.

A7: Documenting and representing After thorough documentations of the assigned site : Kamla cafe , a set of hand drafted drawings was readied. After which a study on the desired topic relevant to the site was conducted by individuals or groups.

A6: Imaginative Drawing . The module required us to bring our setting descriptions of our respective sites set in a imaginative world. The final drawing is Graphite on sheet .

Energy and decoding a design process

D1: DESIGNING A GAME For the final project of CFP , we were to design a game , with varanasi as its premise. Our game was set in Anandkanand , the founding name of Varanasi and aims to emerge the players into the myths and legends of the mystic forest.
