The Monsoon Semester of the CEPT Foundation Programme inculcates foundational design skills through sequential exercises focused on perfecting freehand and perspective drawing, visualizing and drawing complex compositions. Students learn to make technical drawings using orthographic projections, surface development and exploded views of complex objects; develop the skill of estimating sizes and begin to engage with anthropometrics. Ordering principles, colour theory, imaginative drawing and deciphering and interpreting styles help them develop more complex skills. Alongside, parallel exercises focus on describing objects and presenting their own work in writing, while guest speaker lectures offer exposure to other disciplines.

Poster exercise was quite tough in terms of putting the layers on and also keep minimalism. Also Ar. Louis I Kahn was a versatile architect

These sketches were done digitally. The concrete bench on the left-side was inspired by a concrete arch and glass door. The one on the right side is a hexagonal bench inspired by a door

The life of a chair was a very different exercise that we used to do on daily basis.

In this exercise we have to thought about the futuristic form of the chair after being used for so many years how would it look,

The composition was about 5 household things that we can use and form a composition on a table and sketched it with different angles with charcoal

The two point perspective view on the left-side took me 5 hours straight to complete it properly. And the other one on the left is a street view sketch of a pol in Ahmedabad.

Digital sketching is a very new and seamless way to sketch anything anywhere without much effort. This is my friend's house in my neighborhood.

These sketches were done digitally. The tree which is on the right-side is a neem tree that is in my garden at home. And the other one which is on the left-side is an apple cut in half and sketches were done with precision.

Imaginative Drawing is the name of the exercise and in that we were free to think out of the box and could present it in any form.
