TThe CEPT Foundation Programme studio is an introduction for students fresh out of school to the rigor and work habits required by an undergraduate degree at CEPT University. The studio is conceptualized as a series of sequentially planned exercises, through which students develop skills and abilities, which are then deployed to address increasingly complex problems falling in four broad categories: visualize and draw, make and learn, anayse and interpret and conceptualise and represent. The exercises are designed to provide foundational skills for students across disciplines at CEPT, between which they maintain a balance. They also reflect an understanding that at the foundation level, these skills overlap to a large extent, and a varied array is of benefit to all students. The studio is taught through intensive 1–2 week long modules, focusing on a particular skill or ability, and a process that emphasizes ongoing feedback in addition to expert faculty lectures.

"How Things Work" module aids architecture students by imparting practical knowledge on structural systems, materials, and building mechanisms, enhancing their design understanding and problem-solving skills.

The Deciphering Type module equips architecture students with essential typography skills, enhancing their ability to communicate design concepts effectively through legible and aesthetically pleasing text in architectural presentations.

The Gauging Sizes module aids architecture students by providing a practical understanding of spatial relationships, proportions, and scale, crucial for creating well-balanced and aesthetically pleasing designs.

Model making in architecture aids students by enhancing spatial understanding, refining design skills, fostering creativity, and facilitating effective communication of architectural concepts in a tangible and interactive form.

The Styles module enhances architecture students' design skills by exploring diverse architectural styles, fostering creativity, and providing a foundation for informed design decisions in their projects.

Sketching enhances spatial visualization, fosters design exploration, and aids communication of architectural ideas, enabling students to develop and refine their creative concepts effectively.

Understand color wheel, analogous, and complementary schemes. Use warm tones for active spaces, and cool for calm. Balance hues for harmony, contrast for emphasis. Enhance spatial perception with strategic colors.

Material exploration in architecture enriches students' understanding, fostering creativity, innovation, and sustainable design solutions by integrating diverse materials for functional, aesthetic, and environmental considerations.

The Ordering principle module helps develop skills to apply and identify rules of organization, visual composition, and perception.
