TThe CEPT Foundation Programme studio is an introduction for students fresh out of school to the rigor and work habits required by an undergraduate degree at CEPT University. The studio is conceptualized as a series of sequentially planned exercises, through which students develop skills and abilities, which are then deployed to address increasingly complex problems falling in four broad categories: visualize and draw, make and learn, anayse and interpret and conceptualise and represent. The exercises are designed to provide foundational skills for students across disciplines at CEPT, between which they maintain a balance. They also reflect an understanding that at the foundation level, these skills overlap to a large extent, and a varied array is of benefit to all students. The studio is taught through intensive 1–2 week long modules, focusing on a particular skill or ability, and a process that emphasizes ongoing feedback in addition to expert faculty lectures.

The following image consists assemblages of 25 and 6 subtracted forms and 2 sheets of subtracted 3d forms showing different views. All these sheets are made freehand without the use of any tools and helped to create a better muscle memory for drawing freehand.

The following image shows the exploded view of a paper punch which is presented using axial and displacement lines to make it clearer.

The image contains isometric and axonometric view of an assemblage, matchbox composition, tilted matchbox composition and surface development of cylinder. All these sheets are made using tools with very precise details to get accurate drawings.

This image consists collage on the left side and poster on the right side which is made by deciphering the style of Ar. Luis Barragan.

The image includes the gauged plan of Shrenik bhai plaza, section of metro station, section of Kanuria and elevation of bedroom. All these drawing are made on grid sheets after deciding a appropriate scale according to the area of the provided space.

The image consists of gauged sections of bedroom and bathroom and also an object drawing. Orange colour is used to write the accurate measurements in order to get a rough idea on the precision of the gauged measurements.

The image includes pixelation done in a 10x10 grid and a monochromatic collage(right) which thus helped in a better understanding of the colours anf hues.

The image contains drafted alphabet M which helped to understand all the curved in the serifs in the font. The sheets on the right helped in understanding which fonts settles in what conditions and what it helps with.

The sheets includes a free hand drawing on an isometric grid sheet to understand the ordering principle. The top two sheets on the right side are to understand better different ordering principle whereas the sheet on right bottom is made using ink to understand Gestalt principles.

All the drawings are made using shading pencils to trying to capture on some specific details in different objects and places. This helped to observe the forms and textures of things better.
