TThe CEPT Foundation Programme studio is an introduction for students fresh out of school to the rigor and work habits required by an undergraduate degree at CEPT University. The studio is conceptualized as a series of sequentially planned exercises, through which students develop skills and abilities, which are then deployed to address increasingly complex problems falling in four broad categories: visualize and draw, make and learn, anayse and interpret and conceptualise and represent. The exercises are designed to provide foundational skills for students across disciplines at CEPT, between which they maintain a balance. They also reflect an understanding that at the foundation level, these skills overlap to a large extent, and a varied array is of benefit to all students. The studio is taught through intensive 1–2 week long modules, focusing on a particular skill or ability, and a process that emphasizes ongoing feedback in addition to expert faculty lectures.

This module helped me to conceptualize and create various objects, draw consistent lines of varying intensities, and improve composition of my drawing.

I learned how to create multiview drawings with orthographical projections with this exercise, and I also gained an understanding of different line weights and line kinds to improve the drawing's legibility.

Through this activity, I was able to comprehend and acquire fundamental model-making skills as well as understand many types of materials.

This module made it easier for me to recognize, categorize, and comprehend how the materials are applied based on their tangible and experiential qualities.

This exercise teaches me how to use exploded drawings at various scales and for different purposes.

This exercise also helped me understand which view is best suited to convey most of the detail in one drawing itself.

This module improved my capacity to recognize, use, and convey the principles of visual composition, organization, and perception.

This module helped me understand the principles of color theory—hue, value, saturation, and color harmonies. and I was able to see how color was used in a variety of design fields.

The exercise helped me recognize and classify different fonts. Further i learned the typographic fundamentals to enhance the visual impact that conveys the meaning through them.

Through this exercise, I was able to decipher a certain style and interpret them graphically.
