TThe CEPT Foundation Programme studio is an introduction for students fresh out of school to the rigor and work habits required by an undergraduate degree at CEPT University. The studio is conceptualized as a series of sequentially planned exercises, through which students develop skills and abilities, which are then deployed to address increasingly complex problems falling in four broad categories: visualize and draw, make and learn, anayse and interpret and conceptualise and represent. The exercises are designed to provide foundational skills for students across disciplines at CEPT, between which they maintain a balance. They also reflect an understanding that at the foundation level, these skills overlap to a large extent, and a varied array is of benefit to all students. The studio is taught through intensive 1–2 week long modules, focusing on a particular skill or ability, and a process that emphasizes ongoing feedback in addition to expert faculty lectures.

The exercise helped me comprehend isometrics and the various viewpoints that might be taken with reference to lines.

This activity focused on learning about the technical components of architecture, as well as the surface growth of various shapes.

Knowing the surface development from the prior exercise made it much easier to create models based on them.

In addition to the model making activity, clay models were to be built, which allowed me to experiment with a new material.

In this exercise I focused on a single product, and it was fascinating to observe how even little items can contain a significant number of parts.

This activity was all about learning the proportions of different things by comparing them.

This exercise taught me numerous rules of design world and how to apply them.

This project immerses me in the world of letters through the eyes of a designer, demonstrating how they can manipulate individuals and affect brands.

This activity teaches me the importance of colors and their significance.

This activity teaches me how to interpret the styles of notable architects, painters, and designers and apply them.
