Details as a Medium to Decode the Architect
The research began questioning the extent to which an architect would go to manifest their intangible ideas in a tangible format. One of the outcomes of this question was the term 'details'. The paper uses details as a lens to analyse the works of a contemporary architect in order to understand how he uses detailing as a tool to communicate architectural intentions. While the definition of the word 'detail' remains ambiguous, this paper aims to communicate that every architect can come up with classifications for it based on their approach to construing architecture.
