India grapples with surging energy demands amidst unsustainable energy generation. Abhikram, an architectural firm in Ahmedabad, addresses this challenge by ingeniously integrating passive cooling strategies into their designs. Their projects employ techniques like evaporative cooling, high thermal mass, and cavity walls. However, the efficacy of these strategies remains unmeasured. The research aims to evaluate the performance of Abhikram's buildings, focusing on thermal comfort and net-zero carbon initiatives. Indoor thermal data, occupants' thermal perception, and energy performance using the ZEBRA tool were analysed and assessed. By scrutinizing real-time feedback, the direct impact of passive strategies on inhabitants' lives is understood.
