Craft is still crucial nowadays, even if how it's used and seen has changed. Traditional Craftsmanship stresses getting all the little details just right, knowing materials well, and the craft’s cultural importance, which in turn produces products that capture the spirit of handmade traditions. Though craftsmanship has benefits like preserving culture and being eco-friendly and sustainable, there's a risk of losing traditional skills because not enough people have acquired the skills. To avoid this, integrating traditional processes with modern design tools like parametric design will keep craftsmanship's essence in the product all while meeting today's production needs for more scalable, efficient methods. Bringing together parametric tools and traditional crafting methods can boost artistry through easy working flows, lessening errors, and allowing exact custom design work. This blend blends new and old to enable experts to create new ideas efficiently, making complex patterns while keeping the heart of classic craftsmanship for today.

The research will mainly focus on developing a parametric form-finding framework that helps in developing bamboo lamps with bamboo strips by defining a systematic workflow that craftsmen can follow. It analyses a series of parametric examples to draw inspiration from them, which will be later used in developing the framework.
