Post Occupancy Evaluation (POE) of daylight access in digital classrooms: The study explores how daylighting impacts indoor environmental quality (IEQ) in classrooms, particularly in digital learning spaces. Natural light enhances comfort, health, and learning efficiency, reducing dependence on artificial lighting. Investigating digital classrooms on the ground, first, and second floors, the study assesses daylight access and glare issues affecting touchscreen blackboards. Light levels were recorded across classrooms, revealing variations in daylighting quality, with many areas under-illuminated. A glare analysis found that over 50% of students and teachers experienced discomfort. Findings highlight the importance of optimized lighting design to balance natural daylight and reduce glare, ensuring better learning environments.
