Natural disasters like cyclones, earthquakes, and floods occur every year and their frequency & impacts have significantly increased in recent decades. Among the various disasters, earthquake has been considered for the study which causes great damage or loss of life, material, economic, or environment. After an earthquake, waste management is not considered in the early phases, and the majority of earthquake debris originates from collapsed structures, particularly those that were not built with earthquake resilience in consideration. The proposed strategy and framework will help in treating and recycling the waste as soon as an earthquake occurs. It will also help make waste management smoother, reduce material scarcity in the construction industry, minimise irregularities in earthquake-related waste, waste quantification, waste recovery/recycling, pollution control, and final disposal.
