In the realm of design project management, the integration of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) within the Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) framework stands as a promising approach to enhance efficiency and productivity. This project seeks to explore the effective management of design projects by examining the interplay between Building Information Modelling (BIM) and VDC, identifying workflow structures, advantages, difficulties, and the pivotal role of KPIs in construction management. Through an extensive literature review and methodical inquiry, this study aims to develop strategies for integrating KPI measurements into the VDC framework. By delving into various aspects of VDC implementation, including the role of digital tools, collaboration space, and the collaborative attitude, this project seeks to uncover ways to improve the productivity of building projects. Additionally, it investigates the benefits of adopting VDC, such as enhanced teamwork, simplified information sharing, and value engineering advantages, while also addressing challenges to implementation. The focus on Model Maturity Index (MMI) and BIM maturity levels adds depth to project assessment, while insights from stakeholder's aid in the development of performance metrics, contributing to an overall understanding of effective design project management.
