Solid waste management is a significant environmental challenge faced by various industries. Improper handling of waste can result in pollution, health hazards, and environmental degradation. However, organizing waste management can generate revenue and help solve environmental issues. Rural areas have limited infrastructure and capacity to handle solid waste, making it challenging to adopt solutions used in urban areas. The Swachh Bharat Mission (Grameen) aims to address this issue by providing interventions for safe management of solid and liquid waste in villages. The DRP aims to explore solid waste management practices in rural areas and provide sustainable solutions. The study will include two case studies, one for a model village and one for a typical village in the vicinity.
