This study focuses on the significance of a well-structured quality control policy in maintaining the accuracy and dependability of precast concrete production, particularly in precast plants. It aims to identify methods for enhancing precast quality, emphasizing aspects such as material supply, mix design, production stages, and testing. The overarching goal is to strike a balance between efficiency and accuracy while addressing industry challenges, ultimately promoting safer, more sustainable, and long-lasting built environments. The objectives include identifying parameters for developing a quality control policy for precast manufacturing plants, creating checklists for measuring each indicator, and developing a comprehensive Precast concrete quality policy and manual. The scope is centered on quality control in pre-cast concrete manufacturing plants in India. It encompasses the development of a quality manual and the potential framework for quality assessment. Ultimately, this study aims to contribute to the continuous improvement of precast concrete quality in India and enhance its alignment with global quality standards. Click here for detailed report.
