This research examines the spatial and temporal dynamics of urban green spaces in Ahmedabad amidst rapid urbanization. Urban green spaces, vital for recreation, socialization, environmental benefits, and aesthetics, are increasingly threatened by expanding built-up areas. Using remote sensing techniques and LULC analysis from 2006 to 2024, the study highlights the impact of urban growth on green spaces. It emphasizes the need for sustainable urban planning to mitigate climate change effects and preserve ecological balance. The findings aim to guide decision-makers in fostering resilient and sustainable urban development in Ahmedabad.
