The focus area of the research is to find groundwater potential of the Watrak river watershed. The groundwater potential helps to draft the groundwater used for the future of the study area. As the river is in a dried state for most of the part of the year, groundwater is the primary source for irrigation, domestic and industrial use. Hence, it is crucial to determine the area where groundwater is available or the size that deploys the groundwater. Water resource planning has always become a controversial issue because of the lack of a scientific framework for resource planning. The research aims to develop a scientific framework for groundwater and surface water resource distribution which helps planners, policy makers, and engineers.
