The Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) was approved by the Indian government in 2005, with the aim of providing employment opportunities in rural areas, reducing poverty and migration, and building rural infrastructure. This project investigates the impact of MGNREGA on social, economic, and environmental changes over time and space, using various methods such as time series analysis analysis, quarter on quarter, also visualized the change in livelihood with spatially as well as statistically. The study also examines the relationship between investments of MGNREGA and rural infrastructure development , and creates an index of rural infrastructure development. The results suggest that the amount paid, total man-days, and number of units are significantly associated with the rural infrastructure index.
