This study aims to identify water quality parameters that impact carbon sequestration in urban water bodies. Water bodies were delineated using the NDWI index, and carbon sequestration was estimated based on key water quality indicators through various statistical methods. Remote sensing and modelling techniques were employed to assess temporal changes. The goal is to understand how carbon is absorbed or released and support environmental monitoring and climate action.
