The senior living sector in India has many challenges, including the fact that many older Indians are unaware of the senior housing options available to them and may not understand the benefits of such living arrangements. As a result, senior housing suppliers may find it difficult to reach their target consumers. Elder home is in high demand in India but is in short supply. This is due to the industry's lack of investment, as well as challenges in acquiring land and securing government approvals. In India, elderly people usually live with their families rather than renting separate dwellings. If they are unable to offer services that the community values, this may make it difficult for senior home providers to attract clients. Hence, the study focuses on understanding the market forces for senior citizen housing and developing a viable business model to encourage its provision through private sector and uses the method of interviewing the developers, service providers, and customers. The study is done through case study method which identifies different senior housing models, its operations, maintenance, problems, and viability in Ahmedabad city which would help to resolve the supply issue. For Ahmedabad to have more senior living facilities, a comprehensive approach combining cooperation between the governmental, private, and non-profit sectors is required. A comprehensive strategy incorporating public legislation, business investment, and community involvement and awareness will be needed to address the supply concerns. Through this study the seniors' quality of life can be enhanced since they would have access to a secure living space with tailored facilities catered to their need. They may benefit in terms of their physical and mental health as well as in maintaining their independence and social relationships. By adding jobs in the construction, healthcare, and other associated industries, the local economy will benefit. Seniors may have greater access to healthcare services if they reside in supportive communities, which would ease the strain on the healthcare system. Therefore, there may be both good and negative effects on elders, families, the economy, and society from Ahmedabad's supply of senior housing.
