Surat's flood risk susceptibility in urban communities is examined in this study. Due to its geographic location, the city has experienced a reoccurring issue of flooding that has been observed to engulf the city every monsoon.  There is a need to carry out zone-level studies and identify the immediate actions required to build resilience. Therefore this research aimed to understand and ensure that shocks and stresses do not lead to a long-term downturn in development progress. This study outlines prospects for developing coastal areas infrastructure to be more robust.
