The world is currently facing the impacts of climate change and, the global progress in addressing climate change has been significant. Countries are collaborating more and finding practical solutions for adaptation and mitigation. This directed research project addresses the urgent need to tackle climate change in urban areas by developing a Climate Indicator Framework integrated with Performance Assessment Systems (PAS). Focusing on India's urban challenges of growth and emissions, the study aims to develop a framework tailored to Indian cities that can assess cities' adaptation and mitigation efforts, particularly in Water, Sanitation, Solid Waste Management, and Stormwater Management (WASH) services and can identify areas for improvement.
