The research project assessed Ahmedabad's community resilience to climate change via mixed methods, including literature analysis and household surveys. It identified key vulnerability indicators: physical exposure, infrastructure, social cohesion, adaptive capability, and health. Emphasizing social cohesion, infrastructure, and health's role in adaptation, particularly in slums, it highlighted the need for targeted interventions. Stressing early warning systems and climate risk insurance, it aims to mitigate financial impacts. These findings offer insights for urban development, urging tailored policies to bolster community resilience in Ahmedabad and similar cities facing climate challenges.
