Amid the ongoing digital transformation, The Local Online Service Index (LOSI) emerges as a crucial tool for reshaping modern governance practices. With its reach spanning all 193 member states, including India, the United Nations' indices offer a comprehensive view of global e-governance landscapes. This project seeks to evaluate the current maturity level of Municipal Governance Portals (MGPs), encompassing Municipal Corporations, Municipalities, and Class A, B, C, D cities in the state of Gujarat, India. Focused on critical facets such as institutional frameworks, service & content provisions, participation & engagement, technology and e-government literacy by assessing ninety-five parameters of LOSI across six components, enabling a holistic assessment of digital governance effectiveness.
