This research project examined consumers' Willingness to Pay (WTP) for improved urban sewerage services, focusing on preventive maintenance, cost recovery of the service, and reliable operation. Using a contingent valuation survey and regression models, it analyzed how satisfaction with current service, trust in municipal authorities, and affordability influence WTP. Findings revealed that personal costs—such as chamber cleaning, storm water maintenance, and blockages in pipelines—significantly raise true household sewerage-related spending. The study reviewed existing sewerage tariff structures and suggested a shift toward sustainable, consumption-based pricing models.
