Kochi is the financial and commercial capital of Kerala. IPT modes play an important role in the city’s transportation. The rising fuel prices and the recent pandemic has affected the lives of autorickshaw drivers in Kochi. Electric autorickshaws have the potential to reduce operational costs and improve the livelihoods of the drivers, but they require supporting charging infrastructure. This paper is a review of the current scenario in Kochi and developing halt, parking, circulation solution, and land use integration along with finding optimal charging solutions for EVs in the typical autorickshaw stands and mobility hubs in Kochi.
