The Gujarat Special Investment Region (SIR) Act, 2009, aims to establish globally competitive industrial hubs by leveraging strategic location and robust infrastructure. Halol-Savli SIR, strategically located along the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor, was envisioned as a manufacturing and logistics hub but remains non-operational despite its potential. This study evaluates the rationale & assesses the relevance of notified boundary using Industrial Development Suitability Framework by using GIS based Multi-Criteria Decision Analysis (MCDA). A 50x40 km area was analyzed to explore boundary relevance and recommend adjustments, supported by spatial data, stakeholder input, and scenario building for strategic re-delineation.
