This Directed Research Project focuses on the green aspects of a blue-green infrastructure plan for Patan to address rising land temperatures, biodiversity loss, and the Urban Heat Island effect caused by unplanned urban growth. Emphasizing parks, green corridors, and vegetated spaces, the study proposes a scalable framework to enhance carbon sequestration, improve microclimates, and support ecological balance. The research underscores green infrastructure’s role in restoring Patan’s environmental health and building a sustainable, climate-resilient urban future.
