As cities embrace Transit-Oriented Infrastructural Development (TOID), overlooked spaces beside transit lines—termed "infrastructural leftovers"—remain underutilized. This study explores these spaces, drawing on concepts like "terrain vague" and "non-places" to examine their latent potential. Focusing on three Ahmedabad metro stations, it investigates how such sites can become ecological corridors and community assets. Using surveys, GIS mapping, interviews, and spatial analysis, the research proposes design strategies to transform these gaps into inclusive, multifunctional spaces. The study offers a replicable strategy that integrates green infrastructure and social inclusion, aiming to reconnect transit infrastructure with its surrounding communities for a resilient urban future.
