This study examines the pedestrian and public transport user experience along Ahmedabad’s SG Highway, a major urban arterial road increasingly dominated by vehicular traffic. Through site assessments, perception surveys, and analytical methods like TOPSIS and SEM, the research identifies critical gaps in pedestrian infrastructure, safety, and connectivity. The findings aim to inform human-centric design strategies to enhance walkability, multimodal integration, and urban street livability on wide roads, supporting safer and more inclusive mobility.
