Transiting Through Courtyards

The Sihor branch of the Gujarat Institute of Disaster Management (GIDM) operates as a subsidiary organization with a specific focus on addressing the challenges posed by frequent floods and rescue operations in the southwestern region of Gujarat. The Disaster Management Institute in Sihor is dedicated to enhancing preparedness, providing relief, facilitating rehabilitation, and preventing both natural and human-induced hazards in the Saurashtra region of Gujarat. A key aspect of the project involves exploring the utilization of courtyards in various ways. The primary goal is to harness natural light not only for the courtyards themselves but also to illuminate the surrounding corridor passages.
