The water tank of Moosi Maharani is surrounded by the Aravali ranges. One side of the tank has the Purohit houses which are stepped to take the profile of the mountain almost as if merging, while on the other end, the new developments are such that they are forced on the landscape. Hence the idea of the building disappearing in the landscape and being tucked into the mountain as a subterranean structure came. The site is along a tributary stream in a valley along the path of the channel. The streamline becomes the central spine of the project and the spaces are carved along it. Carving gives an opportunity to create different experiences with sun and moonlight. The ground level is articulated into a public space with channels and water bodies to control the flow of water from the mountain.
