ALOFT - Watchtower at Kadiya Dhro

The design of this watchtower at Kadiya Dhro is inspired by the movement of Osprey, a predatory bird. The design process involved making of 2d diagrams decoding the bird's movement, which were then converted to 3d models from which a form with the most potential was selected. The tower consists of three series of modules of glulam arches joined together to form a structurally stable core. There are three platforms, which along with the staircase have been used as tying members for the three main modules. The tower is envisioned mainly in wood and steel is used for the joints.
