The Hollow Ascent

Inspired by the digging motion of an ant, "The Hollow Ascent" captures a sequence of frames illustrating how an ant's legs move upward while excavating soil. The resulting form resembles a cantilevered viewing deck, cantilevering over the water, with a central hollow void that enhances the overall spatial experience. The structure is envisioned as a steel-frame system. The site's contours significantly influence the ascent of the structure, which is further defined by a series of curved staircases that gradually lead visitors to the elevated viewing platform for seamless views of the Kada Dam.
