Colour palette of Bhuj

This research explores the transition in the colourscape of Bhuj. Which is being examined by each of these six case studies reflects the changing dynamics of power throughout the 18th and 19th centuries. Rani Vas, Chhatradi, and Mohammad Fateh no khordo commissioned by the royal family and the Darbari, highlight traditional craftsmanship and the use of yellow sandstone, representing power. In contrast, Prag Mahal, Jubilee Hospital and the vegetable market showcase European influences, this shift marks a statement to, assert their dominance and reshape Bhuj's architectural language.
