Diametric Deconfluence

The boulder-like edifice that rises from the ground houses a children's science museum in Science City, Ahmedabad. The project is a composition of four blocks of sharp angular forms. Each block consists of a gallery and biome associated with it. The biome has a steel diagrid structure while the gallery is made up of a concrete shell. The blocks are connected to each other by caves in the basement, courtyards on the ground floor, and bridges on the above stories. The biomes attempt to imitate Earth's four main geographical conditions and are a point of interest for children.
