This project envisions a community-centric craft hub inspired by wooden shipbuilding techniques and heritage crafts. It integrates traditional practices like weaving, block printing, leatherwork, metal bell crafting, pottery, lacquer woodwork, and rogan painting within a contemporary architectural framework. The design utilizes a timber grid shell structure, reflecting the modularity and elegance of ship construction. Spaces are thoughtfully arranged, with wet and dry areas, noise-isolated zones, and shared facilities like workshops and conference rooms to optimize functionality. Visitor engagement is promoted through an exhibition area, café, and hands-on workshops, fostering a connection between artisans and the public. . This hub celebrates craftsmanship while innovating its spatial narrative, creating a platform where tradition meets modernity, and artisans thrive through collaboration and community.
