Reviving the Memory

The building is seen as an archive of historical layers, both in materiality and spatiality. Revealing these layers and the building's evolution over time gives the structure its identity, reflecting how it was used and transformed. To preserve the building without disrupting its essence, my interventions focus on addressing deteriorating areas while maintaining the integrity of its original form. This approach involves adapting the building in a way that ensures its continued relevance and function, while respecting its historical significance. The goal is to carefully restore and adapt, preserving both the past and its future potential.
